yamaha virago v-star 250cc 1998 cruser motor cycle rego and roady in BALMATTUM, Victoria for sale

Motorcycles and Parts

This green machine is mint (green)
No seriously its a custom metallic green with a base silver colour.
it will come with 12 month rego and has a current roadworthy. i have got the roadworth certificate in my hand as i write this..
The bike comes complete. all you have to do is get on and ride . (to vic roads to put into your name. i cant do that for you)
has a brand new front Tyre from the roadworthy. comes with full reg.
the reason it is such low km's is that i bought it from a couple in bendigo. they had moved down from Queensland where a mate had custom built them the bike.
unfortunately for them as couples do they had a baby , then, another, then another.
so the bike was useless for carting children, ...they upgraded to a Torago...
they owned it for about five years and never had the money or reason to register it.
i bought it sight unseen as a running unit with 195,000km to figure out a mates 96 virago. turns out though the lady had miss printed they ad. they had had no interest in the bike as that is stupidly high k's for a bike. when i got there sure enough. she had read the decimal place as part of the speed . it was 19,500.0 and ive only clocked up about 400km's since then. i have had it for two years and i pulled off whatever parts i needed to get his back on the road.
When it was done i was left with a very nice bike with a missing carby, poor generator, no battery, clutch handle and regulator.
so i got busy on the net and started buying brand new parts from japan as they came up.
so what you have now is possibly the lowest km 98 virago. with brand new. not refurbished or repaired. brand new charging unit. brand new battery, brand new complete carby, new engine gaskets/casing gaskets, oil pump, and regulator.
it comes with a set of o.k. panniers. but i prefer to ride without them.
The bike itself goes well! for a 250 its quite gutsy upto speed. gets to 110 on the Hume without even trying. around town its a great bike.
about 300+ km's per tank till reserve. then ? i have not been willing to find out roughly another 40 km's. I have had the tank off and flushed it out
i dont have the registration number yet. when you agree to buy it , then i will get the plates so you are getting a full 12 months registration for your money. and you wont have to pay transfer fees. it is currently on a permit if you want to give it a short test ride. i can get it registered for you. and registration is included in the purchase price.all you do is ride it.
but then you still need to get it put in your name at vic roads. which you can do by just taking this roadworthy certificate in after you win within twenty days.
or i can convoy with you. we can take it to my local vic roads. i pay the reg show them the certificate. you jump on and ride home.
any questions. let me know. i am happy to ride it down to melbourne or upto sydney (once you have paid ) or maybe even over to Adelaide for a bit of fuel money. its a nice bike and easy to ride
